Originally developed by NASA in 1993, as a way to grow plants in space, photobiomodulation using LED light therapy has evolved to become one of the most sought after skin rejuvenation treatments available today.

Pain-free and non-invasive, PBM works by altering cellular function within the skin using low level, non-thermal light emitting diodes (LED) which stimulate cell activity using specific wavelengths of light.  

Unlike laser and IPL skin rejuvenation modalities that induce secondary tissue repair by causing controlled damage to the skin, the PBM technology used by the Medilight LED MED 600 bypasses this initial ‘destructive’ step and stimulates the regenerative process by directly targeting key cells within the skin, such as fibroblasts, keratinocytes and various immune cells.  The results include increased ATP production, modulation of intracellular oxidative stress, the induction of transcription factors as well as the stimulation of angiogenesis and collagen synthesis.

Additionally, a swing arm design and height adjustable treatment head that can also rotate 360 degrees, means that you can comfortably position the device within your treatment room - no matter the size and set up.

The Medilight LED MED600 user-friendly interface features an 8-inch rotating touch screen designed for simple operation and convenient treatment access.  Custom select your treatment parameters as you go, or design and save up to five of your most commonly used treatment plans for quick selection.

Additionally, with safety and comfort in mind, Medilight has incorporated a dual switch key/password protection as well as a music and voice prompted pre- and post-treatment announcement that lets you and your client know when the procedure is about to begin and end.
