  The Elos calibrates itself and does not operate if their is ANYTHING wrong with the machine or handpiece that emits the light. This keeps your safety paramount. How does this compare? Other technologies vary in the calibration, usually relying on staff to calibrate the system monthly. Some systems do automatically calibrate when they are turned on, this still leaves room for error to occur whilst the treatment is being conducted.
• SAFETY READING FROM YOUR SKIN AFTER EVERY PULSE!
  Elos takes a temperature reading from your skin after every single pulse that we conduct, this ensures you are being treated at the highest level possible, enabling the best results possible, without compromising your safety.
• BASED ON YOUR SKIN TYPE
  The RF Current is not attracted to pigmentation, this means when we are treating darker skin types, such as tanned, Asian and African skin types, we can turn the intensity of the light down accordingly so it is pulsed at a lot slower and with less intensity, and rely more on the RF current to conduct the energy down into the papilla to cause the damage required to destroy the papilla.
  
  HOW IPL WORKS: the light is pulsed and is attracted to the pigmentation in your hair, the light then travels down the pigment/hair to the papilla and damages it so it cannot nourish and grow another hair again. If there is little pigment/colour in the hair, the light has nothing to attract it to the hair and get enough depth to cause the damage required. On the other hand, if there is a lot of pigmentation on your skin (such as tanned, Asian, African skin types), the light cannot differentiate between your hair colour and skin colour and can burn, blister and permanently discolour your skin.
